Is it a plane or a paddle? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TeamIDFC: Given the suprisingly significant movement of even the largest of the stumps, it looks like replacing this is not a valid plan. If we can come up with a new solution we will put up a new cache. :(

Geocache Description:

Is it a Plane or a Paddle?
Note:  You can not get to this cache from dry land!

View of the Final

Is it a bird, is it a plane, is it a paddle?  It might be a little bit of all of them.  This funny spot marks the southern end of Lake Washington where it empties into the Cedar River. As a confluence it attracts a lot attention - sand, rock, driftwood, boaters, birds, fishermen, and even airplanes...

The location is near the end of runway of the Renton airport - home of many private planes and the launching point for newly constructed Boeing 737s.   Take a little time to paddle among nature, observe the confluence, and maybe witness a little of what has made Seattle the "Jet City."

Cache:  A small, silver, micro.

Portage:  Minimal to none.  You can launch at the waterline at the ramp listed.

Access:  Tricky.  The water is shallow, the snags are all over the place, and it will likely take you several attempts to figure out the best way in.  Folks with very shallow drafting boats will be able to get right up to it, others may need to get a little wet.  Paddle on!
