Note: The original cache was broken and a new cache has been placed.* The new cache is a half-gallon glass jar with a screw-on lid. The new cache contains a camera (take a picture, leave the camera), a new log, some scratch-off lottery tickets and a few items left by my students.
*The original cache was broken by a fallen tree. Apparently, the parks department have been cutting dead or diseased trees in the park, a large pine tree was felled exactly atop the cache.
Orignal Cache: This is a true GEO-cache, the first in a series of TC caches. The cache was placed by Tomball College (Willow Chase Center) geography students conducting a field methods exercise.
The cache is a half-gallon glass jar with a white screw on cap. It should be sealed tight enough to protect the contents. The cache contains a log, disposable camera (take pictures, leave the camera), several interesting items donated by my students (the items represents the diversity of the students). Take a picture of your geocache party and return the camera to the cache. Please note in the visit log when the photos are all taken and I will develop and post them online.
In keeping with the spirit and theme of geography, please contribute items of "geographical" relevance, anything that contributes to a "geographic perspective" of the world (such as foreign currencies, maps, postcards, etc.). Stay tuned, each subsequent cache in the series will be intertwined, as this series progresses, the difficulty levels will increase.
