Geocache Description:

This is a small micro located in an interesting place in RTP.

"The Research Triangle is the marriage of North Carolina's ideals for higher education and its hopes for material progress." --Luther Hodges, Governor, NC 1956-1960

RTP was developed more than forty years ago by the Research Triangle Foundation using no state or federal money. In the 1950s many graduates of the three major nearby universities had to leave the state to find good paying jobs. By creating a research park located between the universities, it was hoped that this trend could be reversed.

This log-only micro is hidden near a small plaza commemorating the history of RTP. Parking is available nearby. Please take care to be discreet while searching for it. While searching, take some time to read about RTP's history. Please bring a pen or pencil. As always, please CITO.
