What is cryptozoology? Cryptozoology is the study of unknown creatures, such as bigfoot, or the Loc Ness Monster.
You may have read about it in the paper lately. All the odd sightings of a never before seen creature at Lake Sacajawea. Reports are of a goldish creature lacking scales. Some have even said they have seen this creature come up on land.
These reports are nothing new. From the time Longview was being built in the 1920's and upwards these sightings have been well known. Robert Long, the founder of Longview, once remarked the only thing that ever made him have second thoughts about building the city was "that odd thing down there in Fowler's Slough" (what later became the lake.) Even this clipping from the Daily News:

"I saw this roundish looking animal going down the bank into the water." Mrs. Wendy Thompson, 46 of Kelso said when interviewed by our reporters. "I will never forget it's freakesh smile too. It turned its head, looking at me, with a grin that will haunt my dreams for years."
You mission is to help track down this unknown creature. We must know what it is. Recent reports have placed the creature near the stormwater canal at the south end of the Rhodendren Garden. You will notice the wood planks covering the top of the canal.
