This hide is actually a replacement for GC1X7JT (dd)'s Better Late Than Never. That one proved to be a nice beginner's cache with a number of first-time geocache finders; however, it has gone missing one too many times. Rather than just replacing the container again, I decided to create this new hide with the following characteristics:
-
Keep it beginner friendly -- The location is easily accessible and can be considered a family draw area. The hide itself is a traditional type, so it should be a good educational experience for the new geocacher.
-
Keep it experienced cacher friendly -- Yes, it is a traditional, basic hide, but it could be a little challenging to spot. Besides, it would definitely fill the bill for those trying to fill in those missing day-filler statistics.
-
Keep it accidental muggle-findable unfriendly -- The probability of spotting the cache without intentionally seeking it, even though it is in a public area, should be low. Hence, it should be less likely to disappear “accidentally”.
-
Keep it jollywally IGNORE list friendly -- Hey! The title of this cache will explain that. Ha Ha, I don’t have to hunt for this one!
The cache is in a city park that may be busy at times. Please support Hide Characteristic #3 above. Use discretion when other folks are in the area as you hunt, retrieve, and replace it. Oh, and don’t forget to bring a writing tool.
Permission for the hide this one replaced in this park was granted by Dave Smith, Parks Superintendent. Remember to obey all park rules.
