sticks to dig the dirt. YOu'll pass these ancient works, please be
respectful and not walk on the earthworks.

February 7 by ghs (4920 found) My wife and I tried this one last winter, in the snow. But that ravine didn't look inviting and I could tell from the get-go that the trail wasn't going to be too useful. I preempted the adventure and moved on. I came back today. Yup, I picked another great day for it. Indeed, the trail wasn't useful. But I could see what looked like another trail (i.e., I saw a bench) across a ravine from where I ended up. So, I walked back and ended up ghswhacking along the top of a ridge and got to negotiate the ravine from there. Yup, I did see a trail from "over there." I came out of the ravine where the bench was. I banged right into the cache. Congratulations! You've won the coveted button award. I didn't want to go back the way I came, so I took the trail. I had to walk quite far on it to convince myself that I went the wrong direction. Upon heading back in the right direction, I eventually came to a bridge at N39 24.368 W84 05.171 and found that I was on the Mound Trail. It's trail head is at N39 24.410 W84 05.225. (It's off of the road that goes past the parking lot.) I didn't realize until I got back to the car that I was supposed to find a "Small." Well, I didn't find a "Small." I found about the largest "Regular" there could possibly be. (Good deal!) Thanks for the fun in the snow.

January 16 by dr_mikes (880 found) The kids, Carol and I came out to find this one today. We discovered that our membership to Boonshoft museum gets us into this museum and area, so we made a tour of the museum (very cool and well worth the price of admission) and then came out for a walk around the trails here today. It was a perfect day for it. The cache is in great shape. tftcsl tn l-tb and gc
