A Flash Mob event is where a group of people turn up in a public area and do something unexpected, and then quickly disperse leaving muggles wondering what has just happened!
PLEASE FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER TO ENSURE THE SUCCESS OF THIS EVENT
WHERE:
For this event we are going to meet at the Wellington Statue in front of Register House on Princes Street.
TIME:
Saturday 10th September 2011 at 16.00 Precisely. Please do not be late as will not be waiting and you must interact with the event to log a find.
INSTRUCTIONS:
You must arrive just before 4pm but not at the coords for GZ and must mingle with the muggles. No grouping or chatting. You must ignore other cachers and mix in with the general public.
By doing this, we shall all appear out of nowhere at the given time and muggles will not know what is happening. This is part of the fun.
Tha main theme of this event is the wearing of inflatable swim rings or arm bands and some swim wear/beach wear. Suggestions for "accessories" - swimming hats (plain old rubber ones or outlandish floral ones), Floppy brimmed beach hats, swimwear (if brave - or foolish - enough), buckets and spades etc.
TIMING OF EVENT:
3.55pm--- Wait about 100m away from the statue, mingling with the muggles, ignoring other cachers and not speaking to anyone.
4pm---I will blow a whistle and hopefully everyone will appear from nowhere.You must be exactly on time as we will not wait. At this point, cards will be handed out to you to sign and you must log your visit on the card and hand back to me. NO LOG, NO FIND!! Please make sure you have your own pen/pencil as there will not be time to wait for something to write with.
4.05pm--- Group photo. You must take part in the Flash Event to be able to log the Event as attended. We need to be quick and organised to get this photo taken as we have to move swiftly on.
4.08--- I will blow a whistle again and please make a long line and we will do the conga, route to be decided!! I will liaise with a local cacher on this one!!
4.15pm Event is now finished and we will retunr to the statue and walk away. Hopefully this will leave a few muggles wondering what on earth could be happening.

This event will go ahead whether raining or not so please be prepared for the weather! We want you to enjoy yourselves and have fun! Look forward to seeing you there!!!
