How Geocaching Works
This cache is located on the banks of Lott's Creek in a park in Livermore, Iowa.
This cache is located on the banks of Lott's Creek in a park in Livermore, Iowa. Lott's creek is important in the history of Iowa. In March of 1857 the Spirit Lake Massacre took place. Soldiers were sent from Fort Dodge to help aid the settlers. They are said to have camped in a blizzard on Lott's Creek, somewhere in this vicinity.
Livermore has a lot going for it. It has a traditional midwestern Main Street. There is a good tavern which occasionally has live music. There are well attended churches. Parks abound. Additionally, the VFW used to host bingo night and you could get a hamburger there. I went there many times with my grandfather in the 1980's.
Livermore's most famous resident has to be Dallas Clark. He played football for the Iowa Hawkeyes and went on to play professionally for the Indianapolis Colts.
You are looking for a camoflaged peanut butter jar. There is plenty of room for trackables and goodies. The cache starts with a trackable and a load of goodies. Be sure to rehide the cache in the same location you found it.
