A relatively quick park & grab in an area with *potentially* a lot of traffic.
The cache is located at the west end of Shell Road, before the bridge. The bridge serves as the access road for a local oil company and sees a lot of traffic, so please park so that you’re not blocking the bridge or any of the gates in the area – the best place to park is in front of the Sentinel! . The site overlooks the Ventura River, so having a camera along to take photos would certainly be a plus. The Sentinel (and therefore the cache) is located near the river bank which is a steep dropoff in places – this is probably not a good cache site for small unpredictable / disobedient children and/or pets.

So what’s in it for the FTF?? Inside this veritable treasure chest, the FTF will find the highly-coveted, commemorative multi-purpose DIRTY (yet well-manicured) FINGER , discovered on the inaugural 7-7-7 Fun-in-the-Sun-Santa-Barbara Cache Run of the Ojai Valley Cachers. In other words… the cache is too small for coins and related swag of any value.

One of 59 Ventura County smileys on the day with Granto. Perfect day for caching -- it didn't get too hot and it didn't get too cold. TFTC!

Even on a Sunday there were muggles around. That didn't stop Foo Man Joo and I from parking, grabbing, signing, and dashing. TFTC!

Found on a 1/2 day caching run with DMTNT, RLA & Stephanie. Bunch a trucks showed up right as we were approaching the cache so we casually walked back to the car and looked in the trunk for 'stuff'. Got asked a few times if we needed help. Had to wait just a few minutes for the trucks to make into their respective yards-then made the grab TFTH

Late log, but reviewing the area I noted that I had found this and not logged it. In fact a Shell security guard stopped me and I ended up showing him the cache explaining the sport/hobby. Anyways, thanks for the cache.
