A relatively quick park & grab in an area with *potentially* a
lot of traffic.
The cache is located at the west end of Shell Road, before the
bridge. The bridge serves as the access road for a local oil
company and sees a lot of traffic, so please park so that you’re
not blocking the bridge or any of the gates in the area – the best
place to park is in front of the Sentinel!
. The site overlooks the Ventura River,
so having a camera along to take photos would certainly be a plus.
The Sentinel (and therefore the
cache) is located near the river bank which is a steep dropoff
in places – this is probably not a good cache site for small
unpredictable / disobedient children and/or pets.
So what’s in it for the FTF?? Inside this veritable treasure
chest, the FTF will find the highly-coveted, commemorative
multi-purpose DIRTY (yet well-manicured) FINGER
, discovered on the inaugural
7-7-7 Fun-in-the-Sun-Santa-Barbara Cache Run of the Ojai
Valley Cachers. In other words… the cache is too small for
coins and related swag of any value.
