Geocache Description:

Join us for some winter fun!

11am to 4pm Sunday, Dec 27

So, it's the middle of winter. With any luck there'll be snow on the ground The thermometer is hardly showing any red. Capn-Jack will be in town visiting his brother, OracleStone.

Hanging around the house eating all day and "fixing things" just won't do, these two need to get out! Obviously, a trip to Lake of the Woods county park is just the thing.

The park is quite a place, with a 60-foot bell tower, a covered bridge, and a very nice local history museum. There are hiking trails and a lake for boating and fishing. There's even a great golf course. A collection of pavillions is available.

OS and CJ spent many hours at this park back in the last millenium. We remember the giant water slide, and the tiny buidings and figurines at the Swiss Valley.

Profile for oraclestone

OracleStone was elated at finding just the right spot for a group of chilly geocachers to warm up, eat, and carouse.

We will meet in the cozy Izaak Walton Cabin

There will be some crazy caching games, too. We can't spend the whole afternoon just hanging around the cabin eating!

Profile for capn-jack

Capn-Jack has picked out his spot, a nice cozy chair near the fire. Please don't tell him there's no fire yet - it would only confuse the poor fellow.

Check back later for more details. We need time while the evil minds of Capn Jack and Oracle Stone are hard at work in their secret underground volcano lair making up some new twisted ideas for your amusement.
