Geocache Description:

Come join us at Magnolia Springs State Park for a CITO on September 27. This event is held in conjunction with National Public Lands Day.

What is National Public Lands Day? It is the nation's largest single day volunteer effort to assist public lands - such as parks and other public recreational areas. It exists to maintain the promise of the Civilian Conservation Corps (aka the "tree army") that worked from 1933-42 to preserve and protect America's National Heritage.

To commemorate this special day, there is no fee to enter the park.

This event will go from 9AM until Noon. Please arrive on time so we can split into groups. If you happen to arrive a little late and no one is around, please proceed into the office and ask where the geocachers are working. These are the duties that will be performed:

    * Repainting the bath house
    * Repainting the trail blazes
    * Splitting firewood
    * Cleaning up the maintenance area

Please log your "will attend" so we will know how many to expect.
