Wayfarer's Walk is a long distance path which starts at Inkpen Beacon, this is also an end point of The Test Way. It is close to the site of Combe Gibbet and follows a meandering route to Emsworth, some 70 miles distant. The path starts in Berkshire, but most of it is in the county of Hampshire. The path runs close to the highest points in both Berkshire and Hampshire as witnessed by the nearby trig points. Parts of the walk can get muddy and deeply rutted whereas other parts are an easier terrain. I hope you enjoy the wonderful views from this scenic path.
Heading South from Oakley, after walking along the road you turn right into the footpath. I'm pleased to report that, since first placing the cache, the paths to it have improved. The footpath to the right hand side of the farm shed is now clear. When reaching the field, there is now an extremely well defined path through the crop - well done to the farmer!
