The Cache Across America Series: This is a series of caches that will take you on a caching tour of the entire United States. One cache is hidden in each of the 50 states. These caches each contain a numeric clue that will lead you to one final cache located in our nation's capitol upon completion of the series.

About this cache: Local men working for the Public Works Administration built the pavilion in the 1930's during the Great Depression. All the supporting beams & benches were replaced in 2005-2006. The Observation/photography blind offer a chance to watch wildlife undisturbed & upclose. Ocean City MD & Fenwick (DE) Lighthouse can be seen across the Little Assawoman Bay to the south.

This is a little known area, hardest thing is finding it, it is just off Route 1 near Bethany Beach. As you travel to it, there is a mailbox by the red barn before the entrance to the tract where you can get auto-tour maps. There is hunting in season, park is open 7am to dusk, the dirt driveways can easily be travelled by vehicles but get narrow in some areas. Cache is hidden & not removable unless by force, please rehid as well as before so it can not be easily seen. DO NOT go into the wildlife refuge area, it is well marked & closed off to human or domestic animal traffic. Horses & dogs are allowed but if your dog has a tendancy to run uncontrolled then please keep them leashed.

If you are searching this cache as a participant in the Cache Across America series, please post a photo of yourself or a member of your group with the cache in your online log. If you for some reason are unable to meet the photo requirement, please make alternate arrangements to verify your find with the individual cache owner (make note of secret code on inner lid & notebook). There is no photo requirement for non-challenge participants.
