Geocache Description:

This cache is a 3 stage multi (2 small decon containers, and a 50 cal ammo can final) located in a Multiple Use Area known locally as the 909 Tyrell, area has multiple mile long stretches of single tracks connected by carriage trails as well as a fire road. It is used for snowmobiling in the winter and bike riding most other months. This cache is a Bike or Hike Cache (or even Snowmobiling) on mostly level terrain.

This cache is located at the Taconic Hereford Multiple Use Area which is just off of the Taconic State Parkway on the Northbound side, it can be accessed from either direction however. Best parking for this cache is at the end of Tyrell Rd (the signs will say Dead End), coords are: N41.44.801 W073.45.621. This parking is for cars only though. If you park here and walk a short ways down the road, on the right-hand side will be what looks like a white blazed trail at coords: N41.44.770 W073.45.627(in fact they are snowmobiling blazes that were formerly red but have been bleached white by the sun), this is the start of your hike.
The listed coordinates for the cache page will lead you to the first stage of the multi cache, on a fairly easy hike, with mostly flat terrain. The first stage has a neat little feature, hence the name for this cache, so even though it is early in your journey this is a great place to stop and rest and to enjoy your surroundings.

There is no need to Bushwhack: there are enough trails that you should be able to stay on them for all stages of the multi including the final, and you only have to go off trail a small distance at each stage (you should be able to see the trail from each cache point) This cache can be done as part of a loop with Not Another Rock Wall Micro in the Woods, if you do the two as a loop it will end up bringing you back around close to the first set of coordinates, whereby you can then follow your bread-crumb trail from your GPS to return to your car.

Cache started out with some general swag, a log book and some TB's. Please be sure to cover it up again carefully as it will be visible otherwise.
