Happy Birthday Geocaching! Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

CYBret: Time to put this one to bed. Thanks to everyone for coming! I hope we can do it again soon!

Oh, also, a HUGE thanks to Sarie Morrell, David Morrell's publicist (and daughter) for providing all the copies of Scavenger, Creepers and the flashlights. If you haven't checked it out yet, they've got a really cool site called Scavenger: the Game which has lots of information about the book and a fun online game that includes some geocaching.

See you on the trails or at the next event! [:)]

Geocache Description:

Come celebrate the birth of our favorite game on May 2, 2007 at Cheeseburger in Paradise! We'll start at 6:30 pm (Terre Haute time) and keep going until they kick us out...again.

Happy Birthday Geocaching!
You're Growing Older But Not Up!

On May 2, 2000 the U.S. government turned Selective Availability off to the GPS system. The next day, Dave Ulmer hid the very first geocache. The day after that it was found. Today— seven years later—geocaches are everywhere and geocachers are celebrating!

We're heading back to Cheeseburger in Paradise for the party. We'll be out on the porch (weather permitting) with a great time of meeting, eating, celebrating and swapping stories.

There maybe even a boat drink or two left over from last time!

Whether you've been caching for the whole seven years or are just starting out, we would love to have to stop in and celebrate! Please post your "will attend" log and let us know how many people you'll be bringing with you. Always, kids are welcome!
