This cache is part of a series of caches placed for the NW Iowa Geocachers' Meet & Greet Event, September 26, 2015, and will remain after to induce cachers to enjoy this place.
Pillsbury Point State Park is a strip along the shore of West Okoboji, leading from Pillsbury Park entrance to Arnolds Park Amusement Park. If you take a stroll along this stretch in the summer, rather than resenting people as though they were trespassing, local residents are friendly, quick with greetings and comments. Once my wife and I were strolling along and saw two couples seated on their patio just off the sidewalk enjoying a glass of wine as they viewed the beautiful sunset. I jokingly asked if we could join them, and rather than any resistance, they pulled up more chairs and heartily invited us to join them. I think this typical of the friendly attitude of locals. If you haven't taken a sunset stroll along this stretch of the lake, I suggest you do. The views are breath-taking, the people friendly and the exercise will do you good.
The cache is in a place where you needn't disturb foliage or the neighbors. Please be respectful.
