How Geocaching Works
Park at the TOP N49 13.341 W123 57.685 is a good spot. This starting point is 456 ft in elevation. The cache is about 60 ft higher.
You will be travelling along bmx bike trails that are in good shape and easy to follow, stay on the main trail when it branches. When you come to an opening that you can see the ocean in the distance and are standing in a very mossy area you are close. When placed this cache was in a rectangular tupperware thing with a bright pink lid inside a green garbage bag. Since this cache was originaly placed in 2003 a great deal of changes have happened. New roads starting at the parking spot have eliminated the old BMX trails. Interestingly the survey stake near the actual cache has been there all along. It seems that luckily there is now a Nanaimo park called Evergreen Park and this cache is inside the park boundary so it should not be facing elimination by construction.
