This cache and its companion (Nuggett Butte) are not for everyone. It is a steep strenuous hike. If the sun is shining take water with you.
I parked at the southeast corner of Gustaf and 6th Ave but not too close to the hydrant. Directly north of that location you have two options, trails or road. After checking with City Hall, I took the road. Their concerns are with vehicular traffic. hence the locked gate with signs. I can see two other possible starting points. One at the Boat Ramp/Little League Fields on Hwy 234 and from there west up the gully to hit the road. The other way would be to park near the west end of 7th Ave and follow the power lines up.
