A great spot to see both of Wellington's cable cars
The cache is the only place in Wellington where you get to see both working cable cars at the same time. I recommend taking the cable car to the Talavera station where the cache is hidden. The overbridge means there is no need to cross any tracks.
The half way cable car station, Talavera, is a lovely place to watch the cable cars pass each other. Even though you are near town, the surrounding bush leaves you feeling in a different world. Take your camera.
The path leading to the cable car station can be rather hard to spot, but you can always catch the cable car & get off at the station, then back on again to continue your journey.
The cache is a black 1 litre sistema container retrievable without climbing any fences. The reception can be dodgy - but the hint will get you to the right place.
Please surpervise children closely near the road & the cable car.
