I and many others have enjoyed A SHOT IN THE DARK night hunt by Dad and the Dynamic Duo so much that I think that this night hunt will be hopefully as much fun.
Strange things are being seen in our skies above the western suburbs. Glowing lights and reports of strange
creatures walking about amongst us. In the true spirit of agents Scully and Mulder we ask for your help in investigating these reports. It is us geohunters who must try
to save the world as we now know it.
Here we are again in the quiet Village of Winfield!At one time you would have seen an astrological wonder----a shooting star otherwise known as a meteorite entering our
atmosphere.
While not rare it is unusual for them only to be able to be seen in one town. This hunt must be started after sun set because you won't be able to see it in broad
daylight.
Directions: After dark enter the Village of Winfield from either direction on Winfield Rd. Begin from either Roosevelt Rd or Geneva Rd. While keeping your eye on the
road glance up occasionally and look for a bright red lights in the sky. go towards the lights to the listed coordinates. There you will see the shell of an alien after it took a human shape. This shell looks strangely like a fire hydrant. You can freely approach the alien shell unlike Area 51 where they try to keep you out. You know government secret stuff, X-FILES, cover ups and
all.
With the coordinates from the hydrant like alien shell you will be led to a city park that is open till 11:00pm. There you will see a gigantic meteorite.
Warning: Touching the meteorite could have catastrophic consequences. Don't you watch science fiction movies???!!!
We UFO believers feel that some alien life forms have hitched a ride on that meteorite and are still in the vicinity. Their presence can be detected by the small
radioactive debris that they leave when they touch anything. Luckily for us they like to touch trees. Within 20 ft of the meteorite you should see that some of that
radioactive material on a tree. It so happens that this radioactive material is reflective in nature when a light is shined on it. It appears red and silver in color.
Go to that tree with the red and silver reflector next to the meteorite and with your back to it shine your flashlight and look for the next visible reflective source. It
should be red in color. You must be standing next to the tree and look in a 360 degree circle with your light. HINT: RUMOR HAS IT THAT THEY FIRST WENT WEST.
So that would be a good place to start looking from the first tree. Go to that spot and put your back to it and look with your light again. The next color will be
silver. The colors will alternate between red and silver so you should know which
tree you are looking for next. Ignore trees that you have already found. Keep repeating this till you find a spot that has both a red and silver reflection. Look in the brush within 20 ft and you should see the cache with its radioactive glow. There
are a total of 11 trees that the aliens have come in contact. Find all 11 and then find the cache.
Alien abductions have been occurring frequently here so if you want to avoid probes and other indignities stay close together and be as quiet as possible. Remember
you want to find them not have them find you, unless you want to end up on the cover of The National Inquirer.
THERE IS NO NEED TO BRING POWERFUL FLASHLIGHTS. A SIMPLE 2 AA BATTERY FLASHLIGHT IS MORE THAN ENOUGH. THERE ARE REFLECTIVE OBJECTS IN THE
YARDS OF THE NEIGHBORS SO LESS IS MORE.
PLEASE AVOID SHINING LIGHTS INTO PEOPLE'S WINDOWS.
The cache contains some aliens and some other alien life forms and a log book and camera. Please add only alien or outer space theme objects to the cache.
REMEMBER YOU COULD BE THEIR FIRST CONTACT WITH HUMANS. FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE IMPORTANT. GOOD LUCK! ALSO, JUST IN CASE,
WEAR CLEAN UNDERWEAR! YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. |
