Come be part of this historic event! This is a Flash Mob Event, part of the World Wide Flash Mob occurring simultaneously around the globe organized by iTrax and Foxtail, well known cachers from sunny San Diego. Please BYOP.
You will have from 11:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. to sign the log book for this event. At 11:15:01 you will be outta luck. Come to these EXACT coordinates to find the log book.
These coordinates are the location of Snoogans' first cache find (Land-O-Lakes by Txsyank) on March 2, 2003.
This short event is synchronized with flash mobs around the world! ""For geocachers by geocachers ""
Flash mobs are a new thing that popped up in society thanks to the prevalence of the internet in all its forms.
Suggestion: COME EARLY TO FIND PARKING.
Are you ready to be a part of Geocaching history?!?
Summary
The Basic Idea:
A "Flash Mob" Gathering of Geocachers.
Only 15 minutes long!
You MUST be present and sign a log sheet DURING this time to claim the event.
You've heard of MEGA-EVENTS? This is quite the opposite in a variety of ways.
A flash mob is a large group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place, do something unusual for a brief period of time, then quickly disperse.
WWFM (World Wide Flash Mob Event):
Dozens of events all around the world (81 including this one)
Thousands of geocachers participating
Coordinated to happen at the same time
To bring together geocachers for a fun and unique even
To introduce others (muggles) to the fun of geocaching
Check out all the other scheduled WWFM events
These events will last EXACTLY 15 minutes, not one second longer.
If any muggles are curious about the event take a moment to explain a bit about geocaching to them.
Tell your friends and help promote the event!
There may be several muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I just see? What just happened?" (That's part of the fun!)
