Geocache Description:

This Geocache is located in front of the Florida State CCC Museum in Highlands Hammock State Park. Admission to the museum is free and there is always a docent on hand to answer any questions you may have. The museum DOES NOT need to be open in order for you to access this cache. Please replace the cache exactly as found. This can be a very popular spot, so stealth may be required.
BYOP.

This is a magnetic nano located on a road grader like one once used to maintain the roads inside of Highlands Hammock State Park. Please DO NOT climb on the grader! We still use graders today to maintain dirt/gravel roads and prepare roads for paving. Generally, a grader is considered construction or maintenance equipment and has a long blade at an angle used to smooth the surface of the road. The county road which runs through the park turns to gravel as it veers to the North. It's still maintained with a grader... just not this one.

This geocache is placed in Highlands Hammock State Park with the permission of park management. All locations must be approved by the Volunteer Geocache Coordinator Sarah Straub (DTISarah@gmail.com) and adhere to the guidelines set by the park for geocache placement.

Vehicles are not permitted to park on any roadway within the park boundary. All vehicles must park within designated parking areas. The park is open from 8:00AM until sundown, 365 days a year. The admission fees are as follows: $6.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle. $4.00 Single Occupant Vehicle. $2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass. Camping is available in the park as well.
