This cache is hidden at the old jail in Cascade. It is rumored that this is the oldest jailhouse west of the Mississippi river. It was supposedly built sometime around 1850. This is a very unique structure that has had some restoration work done on it thanks to the Cascade Community Enhancement Corporation. This non-profit has become the first organization in the state of Iowa to be recognized as a Preserve America Steward by the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation and the White House.
