"I t,t,t thought I saw a geo gadee,gadee,gadee geo cache."
Kid friendly, Night friendly, Pet friendly, and Travel Bug friendly!
Available in winter with the exception of very deep snow.
Cache is not at posted coordinates, see below.
This is the first of two caches with a winter theme. The cache is located in Kiekhaefer Park, one of my favorite near-town playgrounds. This 120 acre park has hilly trails among a wide variety of land types: prairie, scrub, pine, hardwood, pond, and creek. There is plenty to do year round: walking the wide paths, hiking the side trails, mountain biking, horse-back riding, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, and sledding.
You are sitting on the Niagara Escarpment, a high ledge (which Niagara Falls plunges over) that exists from New York State through Ontario, Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois.
The coordinates take you to a spot on the trail, from there walk 25 steps (50 feet) due south to GZ. The cache is between the trail and the fence line.
Sorry, the "cache squire" and drawings are NOT trade-able and are part of the cache itself. Thank you for respecting the cache, its' contents, and its' location.
Parking is accessed off Kiekhaefer Pkwy at: N 43° 50.200 W 88° 22.100 - near the parking lot is a viewing platform overlooking Lake Winnebago, great for experiencing sunsets. Park hours are 6 am to 10 pm.
Congrats to The Brauns for FTF!
