This cache is within sight of U.S. Highway 30.
If you look closely you can still see parts of the old Columbia River Highway as you speed along Highway 30. It weaves in and out from the hillside, almost unnoticed. Trees have fallen down on it, moss and leaves are abundant. Time has almost lost this piece of Columbia County history. And not many people mourn over the loss of it. But I am here to help you see past the waterfall of fading memories.
This cache is easy to get to. Parking is available near by. There is no need for bush whacking of any sorts. Just take your time and enjoy a little part of nature and history. Oh, by the way, pants and a long shirt my be necessary to negotiate the stingy nettles!
Recent rains may have made this cache muddier/wetter than usual. Dress appropriately!
