It is time again for our fall highway cleanup.

Who: All Geocachers

What: A clean up of our adopted 2km section of the Old Island Highway

Where: At the Above Coordinates

When: Sunday, Novmber 8th 10:00 AM

Why: To have a good time while cleaning up our highway

Event info: Just like the last six times, ministry rules state that anyone under 12 is not allowed to participate. Anyone 13-18 must be under direct supervision of an adult at all times. It's a safety and liability thing.

And just like last time, for safety reasons we will have to limit this event to the first 20 people (thats 20 people, not 20 teams) that sign up.

Suggested items to bring: Walky Talky (with changable channel feature), good footwear, gloves (plastic ones will be provided), and reflective vests if you have them.

Depending on the weather we may have a picnic lunch afterward. Failing that, a trip to Timmies.

Hope to see you there!

It was great to get out and help the community. Lots of litter but probably less than last year. Is this the start of a trend?

This was my first CITO, it was a vey good experience. Never knew just how much garbage gets dumped on the highway and when you are in the trenches (ditches) you get a really good idea. Sadly this NEEDS to be done. Great to meet a bunch of cachers, thanks for putting this on.

As previous this is a really nice time to get together with fellow cachers to do a good service for our community. Thank you to all that came out and made this a wonderful day and once again the rain held off until we were well on our way home. See you folks next week for the flash mob.

We were sorry to have missed this event, but we had other obligations. However, as we drove the stretch of highway this afternoon, we were amazed by the amount of orange bags at the side of the road! You guys picked up a HUUUUGE amount of trash!

From someone who lives in the community, thank you so much for all your hard work and I hope we can join you next time. :D
