Congratulations
to River_runr for the FTF
Congratulations
to River_runr for the FTF Madness overall Winner, great job. A very
close runner up was Entogeek. Thanks to all for the
madness.
THE
IDEA:
This FTF series
was inspired by hypocorism's FTF Frustration series
GC1350E
The FTF Madness
caches have been placed to satisfy the craving and obsession among
Geocachers. The race for First To Find status has caused
frustration and amusement. Geocachers are hooked to their internet
lifeline awaiting the next flash bulletin announcing the newest
hide in their area. There upon, all else is immediately dropped and
the mad dash is on.
THE
RACE:
Eight
individual FTF Madness caches, numbered 1 to 8 have been hidden
near and far. They are to be treated as individual caches, not as a
multicache. Those not interested in the race may choose to find any
of these caches at their own pace. In order to be eligible for the
FTF prize though, you must find all eight caches and submit to
all the requirements. Read the descriptions and difficulty ratings
carefully. Not all caches are kid-friendly. Frustration is likely,
hints are few.
THE
POINTS:
There will be a
FTF prize. Qualification for the FTF prize requires the completion
of certain conditions. You must find all eight FTF Madness caches
in any order. You must have the highest aggregate point score.
Points will be awarded only for the first eight finders of each
cache. (There will be no joint FTF's in this series).
Scoring will be
done according to this chart:
Ranking Points:
FTF
.....8
2nd .....7
3rd .....6
4th .....5
5th .....4
6th .....3
7th .....2
8th .....1
There will be 2
log sheets in each FTF Madness cache, one log sheet with 8 spaces
and a regular log sheet. I, and I alone, will decide the
final FTF winner, the prize, the time and method of delivering the
prize. I will post the aggregate winner on each of the eight FTF
Frustration web pages.
THIS
CACHE:
A 3 stage
multi.
Near Milne
Park, the cache is s small taped Lock N' Lock container that
contains a logbook, pen, and swag items. The cache is large enough
to fit small items and some small travel bugs. Please re-hide and
re-cover the cache as you found it. There is a nice shiny new
Olympic looney for the FTF.
Note, this area is undergoing a major face lift, last year half of
the trail was all garbage and poison ivy.
Please copy
the code included in the log book. It will be needed to complete a
FINAL cache to be published later
