Part of the Muskoka Falls Tour on and off the Trans Canada trail in
clear pine forest. Lots of rocks and roots. Watch your step, it can
get slippery when the terrain is wet.
Parking for this multi-cache is at N45 03.785 W079 18.584.
The Wilson's Falls Trail is part of the Trans Canada Trail. There
are several loops, if you are interested in making this a little
longer hike. Several options are presented in a trail guide found
at the parking area.
This is a fairly tree-covered area, so you will need to take your
time to get your coordinates correct. There are safe ways across
the river. Do not take risks and watch children around the river
edge.
The first part of this venture takes you to a history lesson on
the past and present uses of the falls. You will note some number
sequences with your lesson - delete these sequences from the
following number to get your next coordinate.
4512.6035186000 _ _ _ _ _ _ _
30079181907496 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
The second clue leads you to a small tributory to the Muskoka
River, downstream from the larger Wilson' Falls. The coordinates
are found in a short story located in a pill bottle. Read
carefully!! (If you would like a change of pace, there is a hint of
a trail on the ridge that leads back to the larger falls.)
The 3rd and last coordinate takes you to the cache.
45 _ _ . _ _ _
079 _ _ . _ _ _
Take your time to enjoy the trail that runs along the river's
edge on the other side of the bridge.
Wilson's Falls changes seasonally and is a great place to come at
different times of the year.

November 16 by hill43 (9 found) great day for a walk along the river.had old hawkeye nancy with me and she spotted the cache.
[view this log] | September 26 by River_runr (1047 found) My wife picked the trail from a trail guide and dragged me out for a hike. Very glad to see a nice multi on the trail. My wife did all the math so I was able to just cruise along and get the smiley Picked up the geocoin. Thanks for putting out a very enjoyable multi!!!
[view this log] | September 10 by artapp (23 found) Tried this one to demonstrate geocaching to Sandy & Pat (newbies). In the end, Sandy found both caches. Left small rubber duck and took nothing , but did admire the geocoin, wondering how I could further its travels. Found this one difficult - took us 2 hours, car to car. Will sleep well tonight but 'twas a lovely warm & sunny afternoon.!
[view this log] | July 6 by deepvalue (541 found) Finally, a break in the weather, and we could go out for a nice long hike. This one was fun, but as it sometimes happens with multi-caches, you end up where you started after a lot of hiking around. Was wondering where the trail went beyond WP2. Started at the power station. Enjoyed the hike along the river. Not too bad if you kept moving. The bugs couldn't get you. Liked reading the plaques and learning about the area, but that meant we had to stop and let the bugs catch up. Yikes. T:maze L:geocoin SL TFTC
[view this log] | May 17 by Ballinafad Bounty Hunters (675 found) Our find # 444.....We had to find a waterfalls for "Missy" and chose this one to attempt. Out caching with Team Creaky Clan (G, S & T) so we had 5 pairs of eyes and 3 GPS units for searching. We spent some time at the falls area exploring and taking pictures. It is interesting to see that the pieces of someone's boat is lying amongst the debris. The identification number is still visible. Stage 2 was the toughest find especially with the overcast conditions and GPS readings bouncing all around but we were successful in the end. Very interesting story. The final cache location was then found and the log signed. Thanks for the adventure.
