Ready
to get out of the heat? Want to spend some time Geocaching at the
beach? Been thinking about coming over to the Coast to go to the
Fair? Well, how about doing it all, and a Potluck lunch, too?
Bring
your favorite dish to share, your favorite drink (no alcohol, please!),
plates or bowls and stuff to eat with, and we will have a couple
of barbecues set up if you want to grill some meat.
We
will be supplying the entertainment! Yep, count on some new Geocaches
- available only to those who show up - filled with cool stuff.
There will be Geocaching games for the kids, a raffle (more info
coming soon!) and the first four groups to show up will receive
a Travel Bug to get started on it's journey.

Double-check the Event coordinates. They have been updated.
We contacted the people at Jeep and they sent a whole BUNCH of Jeep
Travel Bugs to distribute at the Event! Those who haven't even seen
one yet, make sure and be here! These will be raffled to make it
fair.
Here's
the itinerary/schedule:

a.m. - Show up, sign in and get raffle tickets (first one is free
- after that $1/each);
- 12
p.m. - Lunch/potluck (please be here earlier to begin grilling
your meat);
- 1
p.m. - Kids' scavenger hunt lists passed out;
- 1:30
p.m. - New Geocache print-outs released;
- 5
p.m. - Meet back at park for raffle and Travel Bug distribution
This
will also be the last day of the Del Norte County Fair, so you can
make it a two-fer trip, if you have a craving for cotton candy and
4-H exhibits.
The
Event will be held at Beachfront Park, so make sure you bring your
bathing suit and sand bucket. The coordinates may change as the
day gets closer, depending on what site is allotted to us. Lunch/potluch
starts at noon, so if you want to barbeque meat, get here before
then! If you are interested in camping or motel/hotel reservations
for your stay, please visit the Chamber
of Commerce website for that information. Check under Travelers
Amenities.
If
you don't know what to bring to the potluck (other than whatever
meat you want), then if your last name starts with the letters:

through H - bring a side dish;
- I
through P - bring bread or chips;
- Q
through Z - bring dessert.
