Geocache Description:

Traditional cache with a dog-related theme.

This is Moqui's first cache and is located near a look-out tower on the Mogollon Rim. We visited this area by mountain bike on several occassions so when we got Moqui as a puppy in Strawberry about 8 years ago, we named him after the lookout tower. Moqui hopes that other geohounds will come to this nice place and encourage their geohumans to climb the tower for some awesome vistas. The tower is open from 8am to 4:30pm and is closed from 1pm to 2pm for lunch. We visited with ranger Wight (sp?) when we placed the cache. He was filling in for Helen who is normally posted in the tower. You might also look around for a wild turkey that appears to reside nearby.The cache is located approximately 0.12 miles from the nearest parking location. There is no trail, however the hike is over flat terrain. If it weren't for all the rocks, the cache would be wheelchair accessible.
