The cache is 2 miles from the Sycamore Canyon Parking Lot. It is an
easy 1 1/4 mile walk to the trailhead and then 3/4 mile to the
cache.
This cache is in the canyon, not the upper valley. We did a shuttle
and started at the upper gate on Serrano Road and finished at the
beach parking lot. It was a beautiful and easy downhill walk. We
took about five hours, but if you are in a hurry it can easily be
done much faster. Be careful of poison oak in the canyon, it is
quite thick in some places. The wild flowers are starting to bloom
and we expect they will be spectacular in two weeks or so. This
place is really pristine, we have been in the area three times in
the last ten days and have seen only two other people.

November 15, 2008 by OLdweeb (6738 found) Oh, a rare flat rock to sit on and rest while robb_dogg searches for the cache...but wait, I can see the cache near him but he can't. Several others saw it to. We remote controlled robb to grab the container. Tnx for the fun!!
