Geocache Description:

This letterbox is located along the Winterset Park Nature Trail, this is my first attempt at a true letterbox, feedback is very much welcomed.

Follow the directions to the letterbox or use the cache coordinates to get the cache. I was getting terrible GPS readings so the directions may be helpful if you are going on the coordinates alone.

To do this letterbox using directions: Start at N 38 54.535 W 094 25.029, you will cross over a small bridge where you will see a big sign. From the sign continue straight (left) until you come to a break in the trail - here you will have a choice of continuing straight (north) or going left (west), choose the left (west) trail. It will be a short walk before you will be able to see the creek to the left of you, definitely take a moment to admire nature's beauty by stepping away from the trail in one of the breaks in the trees and going down to creek for a visit. Ok, back to the trail - continue onward, eventually the trail will turn east and you will soon have to choose which direction to go, the wooden bridge to the left or take the trail to the right (going south). Disregard both of those choices and go straight into the woods, it will be a slight incline up to a dark old tree that is hollowed out, inside the tree you will find a small cammo'd loc-n-loc container nestled under tree bark. Enjoy the stamp and please rehide better than you found it.

****PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THE STAMP OR INK PAD AS THEY ARE PART OF THE GEOCACHE!!!****
