Geocache Description:

A Puzzle Cache, with a twist for the unwary, set somewhere in Milton Keynes.

When asked, many people unfamiliar with the City of Milton Keynes, would mention the concrete cows and perhaps the multitude of roundabouts. Having worked in Milton Keynes for a dozen years or so now and having explored its highways, byways and redways, I can add :

Concrete Cows – there are actually two sets, one near Bradwell just off of Monks Way at the co-ordinates above and another set can be found in the Garden at the Milton Keynes Museum. They are well worth a visit and have an interesting history.

Roundabouts – yep there are in excess of 250 of those!

Parks – About 20% of the area is Milton Keynes is open land or parkland. Most of it has been designed down to the last blade of grass, but is nevertheless very pleasant.

Redways – Milton Keynes has about 120 miles of Cycle paths and Footpaths, all nicely surfaced in red tarmac (hence the name) and well separated from the main roads. They were designed in from the start, unlike the pathetic and dangerous green-stripe-painted-along-the-side-of-the-road type that you find in the many more established towns and cities.

Canals – It has been said that Milton Keynes has more miles of canals then Venice! I don’t know if it is true, but the Grand Union Canal does wind its way for 10 miles or so through the City.

Universities – Milton Keynes is of course home to both the Open University, and Milton Keynes Technical University.

Windmills - there are at least two, and one of them is a pub .

And finally Caches – Milton Keynes has an exceptional number of Caches, some 500+ within 5 miles of the city centre. (Measured from cache “Whats the point?” - GC16XJ3). And don't forget that the MK Mega Event is coming to Milton Keynes in August 2023.

The Cache itself is not at the co-ordinates at the top of the page, but can be located by solving this puzzle :

N [Pagoda][Hodge Lea] [Whitney –6][Greenleys].[Oakhill][Simpson][Fairways]

W000 [Crownhill][Belvedere].[Stantonwood][Medbourne – 1][Loughton]

IMPORTANT NOTE : Due to the nature of this cache you MUST sign the physical logbook to claim a find.
