This cache is slightly off a dirt trail in an urban area
undeveloped public park. It can be reached by walking within 10
min. if trail is dry. The terrain is easily walkable by elementary
aged children. Altitude is high bench area of Wasatch Mtns. (approx
4800 ft.)
This one's good for a Sunday afternoon. There and back in an hour
maximum (including search?) if walking. Definitely not wheelchair
accessible. Park in the eastern parking lot. Follow dirt trail down
hill. Take the dog(s) and the kids for a nice walk. At this
writing, dogs were allowed off leash and there were plenty on the
trail so be aware if you're afraid of dogs. Find the three foot
tall slender tree stump sticking up on the intersection of the main
trail and a smaller path veering off right and you'll be close. The
cache is a salad sized blue Ziploc container with "GEO" on the
cover and is lightly covered. Placed in the winter, but leafed out
trees may obscure reception. Original contents:
1- Utah shot glass
1- Utah pin
1- pair of "slug" earrings for pierced ears
2 - pencils
1 - small magnifying glass
1 - log book
1 - geosearch letter

January 22 by bktacstw (302 found) TFTC. There was a lot of slippery snow in the area, I almost fell several times (I had the wrong shoes on) and making sense of the geography was difficult, plus the gps was bouncing all over the place. So of course, having said all that, it was my favorite cache of the day, as I was looking over the trees and making sense of the hints I suddenly crawled towards something which I was sure meant I was going to find it. I look inside -- Yes!!

November 22, 2009 by elaphegg (292 found) This cache has an interesting history. From the logs it appears that it has existed as nothing more than a ziploc bag lying on the ground for over 2 years! The original paper log is intact and goes back to the first to find in January of 2003. I have tried to contact the original owners and have taken the liberty to provide a container. Someone mentioned that the hint was misleading. Things may have changed a lot in 6 years but I believe the directions in the hint are mixed up. Go the opposite way from the horseshoe.
