CURSED - The Bradys go to Hawaii Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Skidbone: Looks like the curse has been lifted. Literally!

The cache was hidden right in the middle of a new driveway into the fire dept. I wonder if a workman found the accursed finger, (good luck buddy) or else it may be buried in a landfill to ruin the day of a future archiologist exploring our waste deposits. However it happened, the finger and the cache is gone. Bummer, "kinda." My first self archived cache too. Thanks for coming. Sorry for the lost bug too.

Geocache Description:

The "cursed" cache is about 4" by 10". There is a fire station and private swim/tennis club nearby and the road winds up at a police training site and city yard, so be aware of whats happening around you and use some measure of stealth. You dont need to walk on private property to find it. Please leave the Finger and replace the cache well when you are done.

Do you remember those episodes of the Brady Bunch where they took a family vacation to Hawaii? Yeah, I do too. I also remember how the trip went haywire after Bobby discovered a cursed tiki idol. The ensuing bad juju which brought a meanacing giant spider, Gregs near fatal surfing wipeout, and getting tied up in a cave by Vincent Price. In true Brady style the entire, near disastrous cursing was safely and happily resolved and then the family shook it off with a far-out luau. Well those amazingly entertaining episodes are what my wife thought of when I brought home a necklace that I found in a cache. Dangling from the strip of leather is a weathered, creepy looking, human finger-like thing. The origin of the necklace is unknown other than the cache I traded it out of. Almost as soon as I got back to Casa Skidbone with what my wife decided was a "cursed finger", numerous "accidents" began to happen. Until we wised-up and put the finger out in the garage, I went through an incredible run of bad luck that ended up with me in urgent care. So for the good of the geocaching public, I will let you know that "the finger" was in this cache when I placed it and fair warning to the cacher who removes it! There are plenty of other trade items in this cache that will pose no danger, so trade wisely and have fun.
