Canada's Capital Cachers... It's cleanup time! The environment
needs your help.
Dress for the weather, bring your gloves. Parking is available
close to the posted co-ordinates. The Event will take place on
Saturday 19 April 2008 at 08:30 sharp, when I will give a safety
briefing to all who attend.
We will begin as soon as the briefing is done and all participants
sign in. Ontario's Adopt-a-highway program is a public service
program designed to have volunteers pick up litter along certain
provincial highway rights-of-way. Through participation in the
program, Ontario residents can make a meaningful and personal
contribution to a cleaner environment.
**This year we have also adopted the Veterans Memorial park and the
South bound weigh station.** There are a few points that need to be
adhered to: -All Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to
participate along the highway.
-All Volunteers must attend the safety briefing given by the
authorized group representative, me. -The MTO will provide safety
equipment for the event, I would suggest bringing your own gloves
and safety vest, if you have one.
We would also appreciate if everyone who attends bring a Swag
item,as we will be placing a memorial cache after the CITO
Event.
We will most likely have an after clean-up gathering at Veterans
Memorial Park. We hope to have a BBQ and the draw for the donations
that we have received for this event. This year Children will be
able to attend by conducting a CITO at the Park.
