The cemetery is a tribute to some of the fallen soldiers of the Confederate Army. Union City was a new town when the war clouds gather. Many Confederate Army regiments mustered near the town at the beginning of the war. After the fall of Fort Donalson and CSA losses in Belmont-Columbus, the Confederate Army retreated to Cornith, MS. Union City fell to Union occupation. In 1864, a detachment of Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest's unit raided the town near the train depot. The monument has been rebuilt after much neglect. The location used to hold a cache called The Grey Ghost. This location is very worthy of a cache and hopefully this cache can stay around.
The cache is a keyholder.
Please rehid the cache.
