Located in Williams, Arizona on historic Route 66
The historic town of Williams, Arizona was founded in 1882 and was
named after Bill Williams who led hunting trips in the area. Today,
the town is one of the few remaining towns located on historic
Route 66. Most of the nostalgic Route 66 was replaced by the
Interstate highway system. Take some time to walk the streets of
Williams and learn some of the interesting history.

January 11 by RoboGeek (232 found) Found this on the way from the Grand Canyon back to Seligman. This establishment was closed for the winter so we couldn't check it out. We did eat next door and met the brothers who own and brew Grand Canyon beer. They were closed for renovations.... not much luck BUT we hear that Williams is a pretty hopping town in the summer and we plan on dropping in one summer.

January 4 by Fish Wiz (517 found) This was a great cache. From the outside you would never have guessed that this building has so much history! Yrtlethetrtle and I arrived in Williams this evening and decided to get all the caching out of the way the first night we were here so we could enjoy the sights tomorrow. This was definitely one of our favorites. Thanks for the great virtual!
