Lighthouse Point Park - Buffalo, NY
WWFM – World Wide Flash Mobs – A fun and friendly way to promote geocaching around the world. Thousands of geocachers at dozens of coordinated events spanning the globe, gathering at the same time.
This event will take place at Lighthouse Pointe Park along Buffalo's ever-changing Outer Harbor.
Tentative Itinerary:
12:45pm - Arrive at in the area and muggle around.
1:00pm - Quickly gather at the light house. There is a paved path that takes you down to it.
1:01pm - Logbook will be available.
1:05pm - Mingle and chat with your fellow cachers.
1:30pm - Disperse and go caching along the waterfront.
There is plenty of parking for this event along Furhmann Boulevard. Enter the park at the gate (coordinates have been provided) and follow the path down to the lighthouse. In case of bad weather, there is a shelter in the area we can use as cover. If you have never been out to the historic 1833 light house, I highly recommend dropping by. The view from the top of the hill offers one of the best views of downtown Buffalo. After the event, there are plenty of places along the Outer Harbor to enjoy. Make a day out of it. Lost?
