This cache is near the western end on the Old Boney Trail in Sycamore Canyon. The location of the cache will afford you with a new view of the main trail through Sycamore Canyon – you will be looking directly down on it from above.

For the last few years, this section of the Old Boney Trail has been so poorly maintained, and is in such poor condition; it has recently been jokingly referred to as the “Toe Stubber Trail”. Hence, the name of this cache. Today I was part of a Santa Monica Mountains Trail Council (SMMTC) volunteer trail maintenance crew which came out to improve the condition of the trail. The crew did a great job of restoring the trail. Unfortunately, we only had a small crew, so we only completed part of the trail. This cache is located near the spot we stopped working. Maybe in the future, you can come out and help us finish the job. If you continue this trail to the east it will take you to some other caches: Such as, “Antidote to Civilization” (GCM736), “Water Cache” (GCNRA0) and “Trail Maintenance” (GCM880). The cache is located near the trail and no bushwhacking is required. The cache is a 2.5” X 2.5”, round, camo’ed, plastic container. Room only for small items. Please rehide carefully. As always, be very careful poking around in the rocks and bushes and always look carefully before reaching into these areas.

This one has been a thorn in my side for quite awhile. I'm less than 150' from it every time I ride up Sycamore Canyon Trail. Today I was going up Two Foxes and I saw the cache on my GPS. Thinking it was a new one, I backtracked, only to realize my mistake when I got close. But today I decided to take the time to climb up to it to get it off my list - TFTC!

I walked by this one on the way down the hill. Had to reverse direction and walk back up the hill for about 250 feet for the find.

I know this trail well, and made a brief detour from my hike east up Sycamore Canyon today. I was enjoying an entertaining E.O.Wilson podcast at the time. Cheers.

Found today while on a 15 mile hike with OLdweeb. I almost walked past this one. OLdweeb who had found it before made sure I got it. Thanks Jerry.
