Geocache Description:

Easy Trail for young and old alike. Scenic walk in wooded area along the Los Alamitos Creek. Many birds and ducks can be seen. Watch out for poison oak!

Although the location of the stash can be reached starting at many locations, it is best to start at the top of the trail as it exits from the lake park area so as to best enjoy the trip along the creek. Walking, bicycling, scooters, and roller blades can be used along this easy 1.6 mile paved trail. Many children and older adults use this trail.

Many shaded picnic tables along the creek. Bring a small lunch or snack if desired. Swimming and playground can be found at the lake area at the top of the trail. Great fun for the whole family. Enjoy the day.

Please replace the cache by tucking it into the right hand side.

There can be copious amounts of poison oak in the area, and sometimes it even pops up right in front of the cache location! If you cannot identify poison oak - I suggest you NOT enter the area! The best approach for avoiding poison oak is from the paved path. Exit the path where you see the concrete rock with a piece of metal sticking out. Follow your GPSr direction and it should take you though an area of minimal vegetation and directly to the access port for the container.
