You're looking for a bison tube, plastic. A regulation log is inside. The tube is not visible but part of the suspension system can be seen from the edge of the road. BYOP
The view here is not the now-defunct golf course, but the distant hills, especially at sunset. You can see 4 towns; Berlin, East Berlin, New Britian, and Farmington. Behind you tothe east, at least for a little while longer, is the Aetna campus. At night, you might catch a glimpse of the fireworks at the Rock Cats field. Go up there with a little cloud cover, just before sunset, find the cache and hang for a few minutes and enjoy one of Mother Natures free shows. There is parking, but if there's a storm over the UConn Health Center, you won't be alone.
