Geocache Description:

This Congregation has its origin in 1692 when a group of fomer Quakers became known as the Keithians. In 1718 the first log meeting house was erected on this site of the present church.

During the Revolutionary War, the Battle of Brandywine was fought in close proximity to the church and farm houses. These are still standing and are now part of the Battle of Brandywine State Park, serving as headquarters for Generals Washington and Lafayette.

The church cemetery has graves dating to this period.
