How Geocaching Works

The cache is not at the posted coordinates! This cache is hidden in Memorial Park in Pulaski at N44 XX.XXX W088 14.XXX. There are MANY baseball diamonds laid out all over this park. So, choose your hunt times carefully during baseball season.

Doing this will not help you solve this puzzle!

Even though you know this cache is in Pulaski's Memorial Park, if you try to find it just by poking around the park you'd easily spend 3 or 4 hours looking and still not come up with the cache. With the right coordinates in hand, it might take you zero time at all, or you might still need to spend 9 or ten minutes searching.

Still thinking about just wandering around the park instead? Well, you know that there's another cache in the park. So, you can draw your “no other caches allowed in a .1 mile radius" circle around the coordinates for that one. But, that still leaves you a lot of park to search (and 3 parking lots!).

Solving the puzzle will give you the right coordinates. You need the last 5 digits of the latitutde and the last 3 digits of the longitude. So that means you need 8 numbers. To find them, you will have to go poking around a bit...in this page, that is. Poke around the cache page for a while, and you should find the source of the solution.

In case you were still thinking of just wandering around until you find it, we’ll give you a hint. It’s either:

-Hanging in a pine tree
-Shoved into a knothole in a deciduous tree
-On the ground covered by pine needles
-Stuck to the underside of bleachers
-Hanging on some chain link fence
-On a park sign
-On a post in the parking lot
-On a light pole
-Under a bench
-Under a rock
-Covered by mulch,
-In a guard rail, or
-In plain sight

It's either a magnetic nano button, bison tube, filmstrip can, matchstick container, pill bottle, peanut butter jar, lock 'n lock container, ammo can, or 5-gallon bucket.

And, it may or may not have been given a camo job or disguised to look like a rock, branch, light fixture, post cap.........
