Note: The cache can be reached by rock hopping and/or taking trails other than the trail mentioned below. These other trails will bring you quite close to the cache and then you can go directly to the cache via rock hopping but be careful once winter conditions set in.
Sport and I wanted to place a cache near the summit of Pikes Peak to reward all those that travel to this location. This cache (as is my standard) is NOT a needle-in-haystack (or cache in a rock field) type of hide. It is located within 8 feet of the Crags route trail. It is hidden in plain sight if viewed looking towards the trail. If you are headed downhill (away from the summit) it will on the right side of the trail. It is not visible from the trail and should be findable with a few inches of snow on the ground but will be tough find once we get a foot or more. Although the cache is just off the crags trail anyone hiking up the Barr trail can quickly get to the cache as well.
My PN-60 reported an accuracy of 4 ft. You should get excellent GPSr reception at this location.
Please, please, replace the cache exactly as you found it.

GCRM - Replace the log as needed or container if the cache container is broken or missing. Before you replace a missing container, you must spend a reasonable amount of time searching - at least 5 minutes per difficulty rating. The cache owner accepts that there is a chance that multiple containers could be at the site. Please remove duplicate containers if you find multiple caches at the site. Broken containers and full logs may be disposed of at will.
