Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed in the Long Lake Regional Park with the permission of Ramsey County Parks and Recreation. Please respect all park rules and regulations.

One of the longest running traditions in Minnesota geocaching is the annual gathering of geocachers at the fall event known as the Halloween Hoopla.

Enjoy this tour through time of the history of this event, and learn about how this event has come to be. Be sure to pay attention, though, as there might be some quizzes along the way!

The total distance to complete the cartridge - assuming you answer the questions correctly - is about a mile, and it should take you about an hour to complete. Most of the stages are located along the paved trails around the park, so it shouldn't be too difficult to complete.

So join us on a tour back through time to learn more about the tradition of the Halloween Hoopla!
