A Multi-cache with many stages (14) that will take you on a tour of Portland's History (A car is needed, as you will travel all around Portland's east side) This cache is all flat terrain, but the overall difficulty is at least a 3 star, maybe harder due to the length.
NOTES:
This is a lengthy Multi Waypoint cache (14 stages) that can either be done in one long day or several short days. This is a daytime cache as some of the locations are only technically open during daylight hours, as well as the fact that it will be very difficult to find the clues in the dark. The final cache is a small ammo box located on public property and is stocked with the new MANA bookmarks as well as bonus treasure that will be added at random. Check the logs for hints about future bonus treasure.
* = times, multiply
- = subtraction
+ = add
/ = divide
When letters, names etc are asked for, convert the letters to numbers - a=1, b=2, c=3 etc, and add all the numbers together to compute the answer.
Bearings are given as true or magnetic as shown. Either waypoint projection with the GPS or a simple compass will work. Magnetic north is about 19° east of true north. (Check your GPS). Distance: Remember that 0.01 mile = 53 ft. A calculator might be very useful for some of the clues. Please give me some feedback on how difficult this caches is and if I should include some more hints, as this is my first cache. Thanks and have fun - MANA.

Well, it was a long haul---between trips and christmas and trips and..... But we finally got the last stage. There must be a better way into the final, because our route was definitely NOT a 2 terrain! Love how you tied in the last stage! TFTH (#838)

My son and I have been working on this one for over a year. We got stuck at point 12 for a while and had to return 4 times before we figured the clue out. We never did find Israel. Very clever! This is one of the first ones I started with when I got into caching. This was well worth the time and effort. You did a great job putting this all together. Thanks for providing some great quality time for me and my son. Took the JayBee-LitLens geocoin to move on. TFTH

I went to waypoint one on my bicycle. Realized fairly quickly that I really would need to come back with a car to make any progress on this cache. Made it to WP 12 on my next trip. Finally figured out WP12 after asking for help. Then today finished off the rest of the cache. Had a great time, and really enjoyed touring all the cemeteries. After signing the log, we walked the trails at the final for a while. The weather was too beautiful to go directly back! tftc. GreasePot, Garlic, Daisy-dawg and our friend Bob from Burns. Traded coins. Quite an awesome cache - especially for your first cache placement. Thanks for setting this one up, and keeping it going!
