Oh boy did I spend a lot of time on this one. First, I was rather surprised at how much work it was to get to this one from A Space in Time. Not that I mind such an effort, but it is time-consuming. I was shocked to see what trail I ended up on, and how far into Simi I was. I'd been on this trail before, but certainly not starting from the Rocky Peak area. To make matters worse, I probably passed over the cache half a dozen times. I had it in my dull mind that I was looking for something larger, and that cost me quite a bit of time. Eventually, though, I made the find. Time to head back up the hill...not the trail mind you...the hill. Nice shortcut if you can manage it.

Out riding the Rocky Peak Trail and down the Chumash Trail on my bike today in search of an item I lost yesterday while hiking the Rocky Peak Trail. My coordinates were a few feet off on this one but I quickly expanded my search range and found it. Cache is in good condition at this time.

It was a perfect for a hike up this trail, and a few of us came along with Geocraig to celebrate his 5000th find. Now that's a big number.  What fabulous photos! What a great dog!
