We're on the road in August and really, really want that Event Souvenir! Looking along our road map we don't see an Event being held where we expect to be, when we expect to be there. Solution? Plan our own event! Bonus? Meet new cachers! We're from Vancouver, BC.
Friday August 15, 7:00 - 7:30pm. South Beach State Park.
We have never been to this state park but the satellite map suggests GZ is a grassy area adjacent to public parking and next to what appers to be washrooms on the beach. Several Traditional caches, an Earthcache and a Multi or two are reasonably near in case you want to rack up the Souvenirs after this event.
We have no idea if this spot is busy on a Friday night, but we suspect it may be. So, we'll bring along a poster or flag of some sort with a geocaching symbol so you can spot us. We will likely be a party of 2 - 4 people, maybe with our white dog...unless he stays in the RV. Not sure what the dog-on-beach rules are there.
