Easterlittens is een terpdorp gelegen in de Griedhoeke in het
midden van de vierhoek van de steden Franeker, Leeuwarden, Sneek en
Bolsward. De doorgaande wegen Leeuwarden-Bolsward en
Deersum-Franeker liggen op een steenworp afstand van het
dorp.
Easterlittens is uniek gelegen aan het kruispunt van de Franeker-
en Bolswardervaart.
Het dorp is in 1275 ontstaan met de naam Lechenghe en heet nu
officieel Easterlittens ofwel Oosterlittens in het Nederlands.
Easterlittens zelf telt momenteel ongeveer 480 inwoners
Easterlittens is a small village near Franeker and exists since
1275. The village has 480 citizens. The official Dutch name is
"Oosterlittens"
